1. The amazing thing about having a regular job is how much happier I am. Seriously. I feel like I am really contributing to this company and making things better for everyone there. I love it. Using my brain on a daily basis is great too. I’m finding that I did not “lose” all of the knowledge that I knew I previously had.

2. I think I’m starting to get more energy too. I’m not sick anymore (I was sooo sick after the marathon) and finally on a regular sleep schedule. I do need to stick to a bit of a better routine before bed and when I get up in the morning. That will all come with time I think.

3. It’s been a bit over a month since my latest attempt at cutting out Unofficial began. I have been good… no contact on my end. I de-friended him on facebook even (so passive I know). In fact, I have not even considered contacting him or thought about him this whole time. He, however, apparently has not had the same experience. I received an email from him on Friday saying “Yo. Checkin in. How are things?” Ah, he’s not annoying.

4. Do you have a budget? Any suggestions on creating one and sticking to one? How about your tricks to saving money? What are your thrifty tricks and techniques?

He Loves Me! November 1, 2009

He said it. Yay! We had an interesting weekend with one of my friends “in town visiting.” Really, she was on a mini-vacay with her newest boyfriend (staying at a hotel, renting a car etc etc) so I barely saw her. On Saturday Accountant and I did absolutely nothing. It was nice. I’ve been super sick all week and yesterday was no different. It was nice to be able to sit and do nothing all day with him. He’s been stressing out about his job so much and it’s taking quite a toll on him. Today we went to meet my friend for a bit before she left to go back home. Then he and I wandered around the city a bit, mostly by the water. We found this real pretty little quiet area next to the Federal Courthouse. It’s surrounded by lots of hedges and has a lot of hydrangea bushes and a few benches. There was a beautiful view of the harbor. We sat there for a while just talking, enjoying the nice day and view. As we were walking out, he stopped me and gave me a huge kiss…. and then he said it!! I’m like a teenager today :-)
